Took this shot a few weeks ago in Princes Square shopping mall in Glasgow. A boy was playing under the piano..

Shot in b+w at ISO 1600 on a Canon 350D/XT Rebel

An interesting capture which is very neat as well, especially for an ISO as high as 1600. Did you use a lens other than the kit one? Maybe you intended to preserve the varying floor pattern on the right top corner, still I think you could crop off some from the right handside as the more of floor doesn't serve the theme other than a nice background.

Yes, i used the kit lens (18-55mm).

Unfortunately, there was no way i could frame the shot how i wanted to, and 'cut out' the distractions in the top left and right corners.

I like that you just took this shot off the bat. I really like this because it makes me think "is this kid interested in something underneith" or "Is he hiding from something?"

I think I have caught the "My eyes are turning into a camera" disease.:G
