Default Another snowmobile action shot

I can't take credit for this photo because my riding buddy, Karl was snapping pictures of me for a change, using my camera. I thought it was a pretty good shot. It's me on the sled. We leave our hoods home this time of year because it's easy to roll your sled all the way to the bottom of the mountain in this hard, spring snow.

Hey, thanks for the compliments. I think Karl may have been putting a little "english" on the camera trying to "help me get up the hill" . I tried to un-tilt it, but after cranking it 8 degrees to the right, I wasn't able to crop without leaving a white wedge in the upper right hand corner, or cutting out part of the sled. Any suggestions?

The full resolution shot can be viewed here (although it's been raped by Webshots):

Thanks,
Jim

Klaus,

How in the h*ll did you do that? How many degrees did you rotate it? Did you distort the image somehow? Did you fill in the missing parts somehow? I wanna know the trick!

When I try it, I wind up with this:

-------------------------->

I'd rather send you the original file straight from the camera and let you work your magic on it, if you don't mind. It's much higher quality than the webshots version. It's over a meg though, is that OK?

Thanks,
Jim

Thanks Jim. There's really no magic to it - just a bit of graphicwork.
This was done fast - in the original shot it will be more timeconsuming.
If the shot is really important to you - I'll do it. But I'll be glad to describe the technique to you anyway - it' s not very difficult!

You can go to my website and mail me directly from there! Then I'll reply you - ok ?

I have a limit in my mailbox of 10mb, so this should be no problem!

Regards
Klaus

Klaus,

Thank you for your very detailed instructions! I understand them perfectly. Photoshop Elements is very similar to Photoshop 7 (I recently downloaded the tryout version, it's expired now), I found all the commands you mentioned. BTW, your English is probably better than mine!

I've started on my project and have part of it filled in. A bit time consuming for a newbie, I'll work on it some more this evening.

Thanks again,

Jim

BTW, where do you live?
