I'm not sure if the GF-1 is dead or not. But, the improvements in mFT cameras
are continuing at a fairly brisk pace.
Here's an article on a supposed new sensor designed by Panasonic for their new GH2 camera which according to the writer, is slated for Fall of 2010 release.

I like Pana cameras and lenses but their price is really steep (and I thought Zuiko lenses were expensive!). The GH1 is way over priced IMO. If the GH2 costs as much as the GH1 when first released, I will not be replacing my G1 any time soon.
