$9.00 for 1-GB; $15 for 2-GB...
My, my, what a difference in a year or two makes...

12/05 I paid $58.95 for a 1-GB 80X Transcend SD
3/06 I paid $29.99 for the same card!

Now, they have 150X SD 1-GB cards for $18

I just bought 2-40X 2-GB cards for $16 each...

Since I have two 80X 1-GB Cards for my FZ30 and my D50 has a much better buffer speed, I'm able to get lower speed/priced 2-GB cards and still have the fast burst shots when needed.

With the newer, larger cards coming out, I suspect that the prices for the smaller (2gb and under) cards will drop even further.

The only problem I've had with a cheap card was the quality of the plastic casing. I hadone card literally fall apart in the camera. It had a lifetime warranty so they kindly replaced it, but the replacement is crackingand falling apart now.

Currently using a PQI 2gb 150x card that I paid about $20 for after rebate. Nice, fast card.

The funny thing is that a year from now when 64gb 500x cards are selling for $25, we can look back at this thread and laugh.
