I was looking up a tree trying to find two herons that were being buzzed by smaller birds when this goose came up to check me out. So I took a couple tele-macro shots. First two are uncropped.

Rather handsome bird in profile

More of a head-on view

I mentioned looking up a tree for the herons. Want to see the tree? Here is a close up view of the goose eye in that second shot, showing the tree. There is a small cedar tree in the first eye shot also, but it is not as recognizable.

I thought this was sort of cute and worth sharing. Last week I posted some bird shots, including a night heron. http://www.stevesforums.com/forums/v...mp;forum_id=23
I now want to get close enough to a night heron to get some reflections. With eyes that large who knows what I could see.

Steve, you do strike me as being a bird charmer. You manage such nice bird photos.
