Karen Tribe Village Elephant Rides

Karen Tribe Village

I went for a 30-minute ride in the basket on the elephants back. The other passenger Anke Lang got to sit on the neck, which is a much smoother ride. See me? That is my foot in the foreground

Karen Tribe Village

Only light brave people get to ride on the neck and that left me out… Weight that is.

How does the song go? The corn is as high as an elephant's eye...

Never saw corn that tall....

I don't come in here so much as I used a year ago, but I m very glad I stumbled now and not to have missed the 12 parts of your Reportage, Jerry.

Many photos, too few comments, but thanks anyway for posting them.

Sometimes thera are slight warm color casts, some other times (portraits in other parts) colors are just great.
Some pics situations would have benefited much of dSLR clean high iso (but I'm sure your FZ can be carried more easily).

Thanks for sharing such a beautiful journey with us and for supplying very interesting ethnographical and social informations.
