I had the unanticipated opportunity to stop at the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge in Titusville, Florida on my trip south for the winter. (Stupid flat tire screwed up my schedule but gave me the time I wouldn't have had otherwise.) I hoped to see the roseate spoonbills that had already left last spring when I stopped on my way north. I was not disappointed!
