Default Action mode question for Panasonic please

Sorry, but apparently no one can answer me. I am thinking of taking my FZ1 back if the action mode is defective, hence my question. Panasonic's site says the action mode uses a fast shutter speed as I had expected, but I get no shutter speed change in this mode, as my message below mentions. Can you quickly test your camera to see that the shutter speed changes as you switch from Normal to Action mode? Thanks, Troy

My previous message read...

I am evaluating my new FZ1 and can not figure out which parameters the action mode should change. In both a low and daylight situation, the exif information did not change for shutter speed or ISO. The FNumber did change from 5.6 to 6.5 between Normal and Action mode. Is this right?

It ncreases proportionally to the amount of light and ISO speed. Given enough light, it will increase, but if you are set at ISO 100 and in moderate light it obviously can't kick itself up. I've not seen any operational problems in this area with any FZ1's.
