in my attempts at digital editing to give a 3-D look. However, I think I am going to stop with this and concentrate more on photos. Thanks for bearing with me.

An excellent image! Did you use any special software to create it?

IMHO, you need to read up on how to refine the edges .......I am sure whatever you are using to make the mask, there would be a tutorial on how to refine the edges somewhere on the web.

Genece, I agree the edges looked jagged. I have (manually) tried to correct the edges as I could not quickly find a program to correct the edges, and it took enormous patience and time to do that. I hope the picture looks better than before, but I seriously doubt whether such editing is worth the effort.

Raghu, you may have missed my question in an earlier post in this thread. I was asking if there was any special software program you used to create this effect. Also, what photo editing program do you use?

Sorry, Garth, I didn't acknowledge your post first. I generally use Picasafor basic editing like brightening, sharpening, resizing etc. and then use GIMP to draw borders, etc. In this case, I had to cut and keep the deer, and then change the 'perspective' of the background.

Hi Raghu!
Although it sound as though you may feel your struggling with this idea I love the concept you have here. I would never have thought of doing this. Very cool! ![]() Thanks for sharing this! Teree ![]() |
