I am fiddling with the my new FZ28's AF Tracking function where the user can "lock" the focus onto a moving subject. The camera then automatically tracks the subject as it moves, keeping it in focus without the user having to hold the shutter button halfway down. As such, I don't have to press the release down half-way to track a subject.
However, when I Do press the release in to take a picture, does the screen remain fluid, allowing you to shoot your subject accurately, or does it hesitate while the camera sets the exposure and locks focus, causing you to lose the framing you want? It seems that each time I press the shutter, the tracking box will disappear, where it will it be replaced with spot focus. Is that the way AF tracking should be? I thought the yellow track box will change to green (meaning in focus) before photo is taken. Sorry if I sound confusing
