Default TZ7 - Grey UK import?

I have just received a new TZ7 from an on-line company called Camerabox. Prior to purchase they (verbally) assured me it was a genuine UK import and came with a 1 year manufacturer's warranty and a free second year's warranty with them. Price: 250 ukp.

It arrived today. Opened the box - suspicion #1: No CE mark on the box. #2: US style plug to charger. #3: Put an 8Gb card in, switched to AVCHD record and was told I could record for 1hr 2mins! So a genuine UK/EU import it is not!

Spoke to Camerabox who assured me the guarantee would be honoured by Panasonic. Spoke to Panasonic who assured me the guarantee would NOT be honoured by them. Spoke to Camerabox again who said they would honour the guarantee or I could send the camera back for a full refund.
Now comes the problem: keep it or not? Common sense dictates I send it back because of the guarantee issue. The not-such-common sense part of me is very happy to have no restriction on the movie recording and is tempted to keep it and gamble on the warranty.

Any suggestions on this conundrum? Thanks!
