Hey friends! I'm back! Been very busy the last two months on two counts - one happy and the other sad. My daughter got married in August and that kept us all occupied. My dear dog Rishi contracted disease and despite the best treatment, we could not save him. The absence at home of my daughter and my dog has created such a void that I had to take a break and go out to at least temporarily forget everything about home. I carried out a long-pending wish of visiting the Kabini River Lodge on the banks of the backwaters created by damming of the river Kabini in Karnataka. It's a scenic place, quiet and perfect for forgetting yourself. They offer jungle rides in open jeeps and boating to view the myriad birds that flock there. I am sharing a few shots here.
