Default ZS7 -- Taking Multiple Shots With Same Settings?

Hey, I've got another question about the ZS7 I was hoping one of you could help me clear up.

On Canon digital cameras, if you keep the shutter button pressed halfway after taking a shot, you can continue taking additional shots with the same focus, aperture, and shutter speed settings by pressing the button down again. You lose these settings once the button is fully depressed.

I tried doing the same with my Lumix ZS7 and found that it refused to take additional shots until I had fully depressed the shutter button, which means I potentially lose my focus, shutter speed, and aperture settings from shot to shot when in Program mode. Is there any way to get the same behavior that Canon cameras have? I know about burst mode, and that's not really what I'm looking for.

Maybe with AF Tracking it will stay locked? AF Tracking Page 36 in the Manual...1 Area High Speed Focusing can be used also...
