Default FZ-35 - Which video rec. mode for Mac user ?

I've been using motion jpeg for recording HD movies as it seems to be the default that works with my Mac laptop. However, I was just reading Steves conclusion on this camera and he comments "Awesome AVCHD Lite Video Quality".

My question: is it worthwhile or possible for me to use AVCHD with my two year old Powerbook with supplied software ?

Why don't you give it a try - just take a short clip and see whether it runs smoothly. I think the AVCHD lite is great and it is the only mode I am using on my FZ35 for video clips.

Some of my stuff on vimeo (all shot with an FZ-35):
