Default DMC-FH20 Battery Compatibility

I recently purchased a new DMC-FH20, and then almost immediately lost the wall battery charger. I had a tough time finding a replacement, and ended up getting one on eBay that came with a DMW-BCF10E battery, which was OK because I wanted a backup battery anyway. The charger works fine but the battery gives the message "This battery cannot be used". It looks like an authentic Panasonic battery (and was advertised as such), but it might be a knock-off, I can't say for sure.

I read here that someone was able to go to a previous firmware that allowed more batteries to be used.

Is there a firmware that I could use with the DMC-FH20 to allow me to use this battery, and where would I find it?

Thanks much,
