Default FZ35 images blurry

I got my FZ35 in May and continue to have problems with blurry images. I have better success with outdoor shots, but when trying to take close-up pictures of my baby granddaughter most of the shots are blurry. I've tried using different settings, but once I use the zoom I have a blurry shot, even if she isn't moving. What can I do to minimize blurriness and get sharper shots?

Can you post a few examples, along with your camera settings? We may be able to spot problems. Typically, indoors are much darker, so you shutter speed goes down and your camera becomes very susceptible to movement. Flash would keep you from shaky camera. There is a baby setting which softens the flash to compliment baby skin.

Try manual focus and use the MF Assist function.

The great thing about this is that you also have complete control of other parametrics such as shutter & DOF.

Another "work around" would be to use the High Sensitivity Scene Mode. The attached photo was taken with that mode in a very darkened room.
