Default EZ mode with FZ35

I have not had much luck using the EZ mode. Although they say that there is no IQ deterioration, they just don't look very good to me. Have you had better luck? Here's a quick comparison I did.

#1 full zoom using TC-55 only (no EZ)

#2 Crop of #1 (no EZ)

#3 EZ mode, with TC-55 on

Took me a while to remember wat ez was again (the extra zoom that you get when you are not using the max number of pixels)

It does seem weird that the IQ is so much different. Could it be that with greater zoom the camera is more unstable? Also it looks like the last shot has more ISO, which I guess it doesnt?

Don't know the answer for a fact, but am interested to find out ^^
