Default FZ40/45 is it possible to shoot in manual mode with tha panorama assist?

Hello there.

I know it's possible to activate the panorama assistant using the Scene mode, but is it possible to use it together with manual exposure mode?

Thank you.

I believe that you can change the white balance and the exposure before taking your first Panorama assist picture, so you'd have a little added control over the results.
Panorama assist locks the focus, zoom, exposure white balance, shutter speed and ISO to the first picture's settings, so that all these will be uniform throughout the pictures.
I don't believe you could activate panorama assist from M mode. It looks like it's only available in Scene mode.
