Been trying to get more macro shots in the garden. These are taken with the L55. They are not wonderful yet, a bit soft still so any advice on getting crisp shots. I see some lovely sharp shots here of insects but i am struggling to get such shots - HELP,LOL.
The SS was 250 and on S setting. Also why does the exif not show that i have used the flash? How do i get it to show that? Thanks E.

Wow.... well done eysha, you'll have to give me lessons, last two are spot on focus, first is a great in-flight capture.
I'm using Exif Viewer in Firefox web browser (version 5 and windows XP) and it says flash fired in all three shots.

eysha, these are great! As square one wrote, the last two are well focused, and the first is a very difficult in-flight shot. Good job!!!

Thanks Square One, all i really did was to shoot in Shutter mode at 250 and used the flash as Saly suggested to me so it is all down to her kindness that these have worked better than the last try.
I would like to know how to get the exif to recognise that i used the flash, there must be a way but i am a novis at that. Thanks again for your encouraging words. E

Many thank Saly, it is all down to you and your kindness in offering me advice. I am pleased you think i have improved, i certainly tried as i would love to get the kind of shots i see on this forum, the clear crisp insect shots.
Thanks again Saly.

eysha, I don't know what web browser you use, but FireFox has a free plug-in which is an EXIF viewer. That allows you to display EXIF data on most photographs.
And you are very welcome, glad to be of help and I'm so happy that you are getting good results. Keep practicing!!

I just use Google and am on Vista too. I use picass which tells me the exif but why doesn't it tell me on properties of the photo if i have used the flash - it doesn't.
I will keep practising too, lol. Thanks again Saly.
