Cedar Waxwing. Very rare birds in my neighborhood, a few spend their winters here. Very shy, and they kept watching me. With FZ35+LT55.
![]() How they look up close(r). This was the best I could do through the branches.

Beautiful photos, Saly! I love the Cedar Waxwings. When I lived in town, I had a tree with fall berries, and flocks of them would come in & eat the berries, & actually get a little intoxicated, & fly irratically!
Sadly; living in the mountains now, I rarely see even a couple of them.

Thanks for sharing; I've only seen them once near my home; I understand they usually travel in flocks and raid a food source and then quickly leave.

Thanks guys!! I have heard about them flocking, but this was my first time seeing these birds and there were only two. Very elegant looking birds, I was quite excited to find them!

Nice shots. I rarely see these, and never in a good place to get pictures it seems.
