They don't make one. People have tried making their own, or modify one that is made for a camcorder. I've read that these 2 parts MAY work but they are generally out of stock: VMG0631 and VMG0731

Thanks. From whom do I order these two parts? Who makes them?

I believe they are old panasonic parts that are meant for their camcorders. I'm sorry but I don't know where to order them, or even if they work or not. This was something I read in many forums on this topic.

Haven't tried these yet. If you order and they work, let us know. It's a big issue for me and others who mostly post at DPR. Trying to decide if I want to order one or both.

Two companies that listed the VMG0631as out of stock, special order, could not give me any date by which it might arrive. So, I found another company that lists it in stock. I ordered one and it's supposed to arrive on 8/13. If it fits, I will let this forum know where to order it. There's one listed in the UK, but I'm in the US, so didn't go that route. Hang in there. I'm hoping this will work because I've done my homework at least.

Sorry that I dropped the ball on getting back to you. I was able to find the part in Greece at AVR electronics, but I just checked their website and it says they are out of stock. It cost me around $17 with shipping.
You might want to try Donberg in Ireland: http://www.electronic-spare-parts.co...p/pavc_354.htm If I recall correctly, they cost a bit more because of their shipping charges. It's worth giving them a try. The part fits quite well and solves most of the problem. I gave up waiting on Sears parts dept. and got a refund after waiting 30 days. I don't think anyone in the U.S. has it now unless you happen upon a lucky find. There's another place I contacted, but they were high also. They list it in stock: http://www.tectronelectronics.eu/vmg...s20.html?sl=EN I hope you can find one. The fit is pretty good. Don't know if it would fit the larger viewfinder of the FZ200, though. |
