Many thanks to all the advice and oppinions on our great little FZ's, has any one got any tips on sucsessful manual focusing and finding infinity without going over and un-focused as I have been told can happen with bridge cameras that show a manual focus scale, as I have said without a closer object to see clear focus, It Is very difficult, but I guess If acurate infinity could be found It could be locked and with concentration being on steady camera technique and other settings knowing that the focus should be sharp.

G'day Pm

you ask about manual focussing ...
-all- lenses these days are manufactured to go a tiny bit past infinity, so that the small motors can do their little zig-zag dance to "get it right"

For me, with both the fuji & the panny, I practice during daylight to note where in the EVF focus scale the object at infinity is, so that at night when I'm shooting the moon or a distant city-at-night landscape, I have a pretty good idea of where the focus marker needs to end up

Hope this helps a bit
Regards, Phil
