Default Button Buck

One of the fawns from spring showing the pedicels that will provide the base from which the antlers will grow in the future. At this time they are called button bucks. BTW that is his mom.

Just thought someone might find this interesting.

Beautiful picture. I always like pictures that tell a story like this one.

But I have to admit, as a motorcyclist, I really don't like deer. I have seen them run 100 feet through the woods from a perfectly safe place and run in front of another bike. But I suppose they were given survival instincts that didn't take into account man's obcession with speed and machines.
I guess I would like them behind a camera lens, but not behind handlebars!

I can imagine being on a bike a deer must be the last thing you want to see heading for the road.
