Default Continentail Street Bridge and Calatrava Bridge (LX7)

Visited the Continental Street Bridge over the Trinity River for the first time since it was converted into a pedestrian bridge/park. It runs alongside the newest bridge in Dallas that has taken it's place for the auto traffic, created by a Spanish designer by the name of Calatrava. The bridge/park makes for both a great walk and picture-taking opportunity with the little LX7. Captured raw and processed in Adobe Photoshop CC.

I've learned very quickly, processing raw files from this camera is a case of "less is more". I purchased a set of three very nice profiles from Colin Walker with Huelight and other than doing what I can with the highlights and white sliders to control/recover highlights (which works surprisingly well), the blacks/shadows sliders to set the dark-end of the exposure, and sharpening with limited noise reduction, too much of the other stuff I use on images captured with larger sensored cameras can turn fine details into mush quite quickly.

The new pedestrian bridge...

View towards downtown..
