Default Panasonic Bob: How can I get a remote release for FZ10?

I know it doesn't exist but is one in the works?
This camera is just about perfect -- a few small quibbles -- but the only thing that bugs me is lack of remote release.
I am using the 2-second timer (and thanks for keeping it that short) but the remote release would be more stable as well as more accurately timed when trying to shoot flowers that are still between breezes.
Some Fuji cameras actually have a cable release threading on their shutter button...my old Oly 2100 came with an IR release.
Any way I can get it done by a repair place. Price is (almost) not a factor.

I agree that it would be a nice option, but I'm not aware of any plans to offer it for the FZ1 or FZ10.
I really sorry I can't offer a more positive response.
