I'm just a wee bit curious on whether it would be possible to use the lens hood from the FZ20 on the FZ10.

did u mean the petal lens hood? I haven't seen the real thing yet, but I assume the hood is similar to other petal-types hood which push fit onto a filter (in FZ20 case, it's the original lens hood), and is secured by a thumb screw. If this is the case then FZ10 should have no problem of using the FZ20's petal hood.

I think the most concerned thing is the PRICE of that petal lens hood. Getting an adaptor tube + 3rd party lens hood probably causes less than the original panasonic's product.

BTW I hate the lens hood that came with my FZ10, since it's plastic and the 72mm filter never fits securely on the hood (overscrewing is a problem). Placing a filter directly on the front is also a bad idea.
