I just picked up my DMC-FZ20 this morning. It is SO cool, but just having that 16MB SD card is a bit of a disappointment . I ordered one of the Kingmax 512MB SD cards from Newegg (both camera and memory are b'day gifts from my family ), so that should be good.

I'm still wrestling with what to do about a case/bag. I can see now that a quick/ready case wouldn't work, and so far, the closest thing I've found to what would be a reasonable case would be one of those 'topload' cases. We have a Penn Camera about 10 miles from here, so I'm going to try to drop by and see what they have.

If anyone has found a really good case for the DMC-FZ20, I'd love hearing about it. Again, I'm not looking for a camcorder-type bag...

I just ordered a Lowepro Off Road. It's awesome!

I use a small Tamron bag with which has small zippered front and side compartments. The spare battery and memory chips go in the side compartments.

Cables fit inside. The charger goes in the front pocket. It was inexpensive.

I love my FZ10 and FZ20. When I bought my FZ20 Saturday, I saw at the Circuit City store that Panasonic also has a nice line of 2 megapixel small SNAP cameras that fit in a shirt pocket. I also saw on the web at Video Direct that Panasonic also has a video camera with a 4 megapixel still camera built in including a built in flash. The specs look to me like an fz10 combined with a video camera and the lens is by Leica! I would be interested if they use the fz-10 or fz-20 user interface and which video engine chip.

Seems like Panasonic has a very complete line of cameras and recorders now.
