We had a litter of Cocker Spaniel puppies born on November 1st, and I took this shot of a one-day-old pup in macro mode. What a face!

I was shooting handheld in available light, using ISO 400 to make the best of what little light there was!

Just wondering, how come you could not use a small aperture and longer shutter speed to keep the ISO down? I would imagine if your little guy is not moving and you can rest the camera, you would even get away with 50 ISO at shutter of 1-3 seconds if its really that dark of a room
