Just got my Fz20 and I'm well pleased with it. Just have to get to grips with all the setings but hey thats all part of the learning process.

I can get the Metz 36c2 for £44.90 is this flashgun any good.

While I have no experience with this flash personally, if you're unaware, Metz is generally regarded as a high-end professional-level flash. Next time you're at a wedding note that the photographer has abot an 85% chance of using a Metz flash. It's sorta the "Leica" of the flash world. That said, in the world of photography equip you never know who makes what but if Metz is willing to put their name on it at the very least there is less of a risk it's a piece of junk.

This is a thread I found that talks about flash considerations for the FZ-20. The Metz you're considering is on the "short list" here along with others. It's mostly banter but perhaps you can gleen some insights:
