Just got the FZ20 for my wife, who is finally upgrading from her old Oly 2100. The FZ20 seems like a wonderful camera for the money. I use a Canon DSLR myself but might even get another FZ20 as a camera for the days I don't wanna lug the big stuff.

We have an old Olympus B-300 1.7X teleconverter that I used with my Coolpixes, back in the day. The B-300 has both 49mm and 58mm threads. I figure with some kind of adapter ring we could try this on the FZ20.

What size filters can be used 1) directly, with no lens ring? 2) with the lens ring screwed in? and, 3) with the lens ring off but the adapter tube that comes with the camera?

Has anybody out there tried the B-300 or the current Olympus 1.7 converter with the FZ20?

Thanks for any help on this.
