One of the things I like about the Cokin filters is a little bit more control than you'd have with a screw on...I think. You can actually slide the filter up or down to vary where you want the blue in the photo to be. They give you enough play room on the filter so that if you slide it up a little bit, there is still plastic left and you don't end up photographing the edge of the filter. Today I also experimented with using the graduated blue filter to keep the sky grey, but make a grey/black looking lake blue by turning thefilter upside down. It came out pretty nice.
