Last night was crisp air and clear skies, so I thought I'd see
what the FZ20 could do with a night shot. I am reasonably
pleased with the result, but since I'm a beginner with the
camera, I'd like some feedback from all you experts out there...

the relevant exif:

Exposure time: 3.20 seconds
f number: 3.7
Exposure program: Manual
ISO speed rating: 100
Exposure mode: Manual exposure
Exposure bias: 0.0 stops
White balance: Auto white balance
Gain control: None
Contrast: Soft
Saturation: Normal
Sharpness: Normal

I also did a little PP in the GIMP:
de-noising, adjusted levels, bumped up the saturation a bit,
and cropped and resized. The resizing was by a factor of 4
for posting here; there is nice detail on the full size image.
I used ISO 100 because of all the noise about noise on this forum;
a few test shots at ISO 200 and faster shutter speed confirmed this.

I'm no "expert" but I think this is a very nice shot. Likewise I would rather take a longer exposure than use the higher iso. Given the static nature of this kind of landscape, why not?

This is an excellent shot, the subject matter is wonderful, i'm not seeing any noise, good focus, good exposure, and I LOVE the reflections on the water. It's like colored light bleeding out from the city.

Awesome shot
