From the time you turn the camera on, it is ready to shoot FAST. THere is no focus assist lamp like on my FX7, but so far I haven't missed it. The LCD is alright, in bright daylight shooting it would be easier to have an optical viewfinder, but it is liveable. The camera overall is about he size of a Canon A95, very lightweight, (mostly plastic) but takes decent pictures. I think the picture quality is better than the FX7, and the zoom is great for a compact camera.
Can you answer a couple questions?
1) I've read that the shot-to-shot time is about 3 seconds when the flash is used and that the LCD goes blank during that time. Is that true? Was that annoying?
2) Have you taken any low light photos? I would really miss an AF-assist lamp, but would like to get your impressions.
