I have joined the FZ ranks and having great fun learning all about my FZ3.

My question is whether I need to buy a filter to protect my Leica and if so, do I just need a 55mm skylight filter for use here in UK?

With a filter fitted, would that dispense with the need for the black lens cap?

Thanks in advance. :-)

I have a skylight filter fitted on the factory adapter that came with my FZ3. I leave the filter on all the time. The filter is threaded so you can put another filter on in front of it if you want to. These threads allow you to snap the factory lens cap on right on top of the filter. Works great, and the lens cap protects the filter, which in turn protects the camera's lens.
