Tried to soften the background of trees just leafing out, with sharper bare branches in the foreground. I love the colors. The maples add a splash of red, while tulip poplar, hickories, elm, show bright greens and chartreuse. Pines provide the bass notes with dark and earthy greens that are almost black.

I used curves and the Velvia action in Photoshop to turn up the volume a bit. I'm not sure how successful I was, but the post processing did help it a bit even if the composition and technique could use some work.

Tell me what you think. Any suggestions?

No suggestions its nice, I like it, quite creative, once again the sharp foreground works.
