Planned obsolesence is more of a programmed life span rather than a programmed dumming down. Perhaps they amount to the same marketing conceptbut I expect my fz1v2 to be fully functional 10 years from now assuming I can replace the internal batterywhen it dies. If the internal battery can't be replaced, there is your planned obsolesence.
