Hey, guys, this is probably well known, but I couldn't find it anywhere in the the manual. If you switch the camera to manual focus, you can press the shutter release half-way to meter and lock the exposure on what you want, then use the manual focus ring to focus in on your target. The only odd thing is that the manual focus assist does not pop up, so you don't get an enlarged image in the viewfinder. Is this an undocumented feature or did I simply miss something in the manual?

I didn't check the manual for it but did discover that same thing today playing with the nikon 6t.. It seemed to allow a fine focus and worked pretty good. This camera gets better by the day..
