i was dropping my daughter off at a friend's house this evening, and noticed the sunset looked promising, so i grabbed my fz20 and headed for a local beach park on the lake. i shot a few frames, but i like the way you can actually see the solar disk through the clouds on this one...

lovely shot squirl - you're right - being able to see the outline of the sun makes this one great!

Squirl....Loved the sunset...Very impressive...The best part are the 3 horizontal division. Ordinarily Sunsets are 2 horizontal planes..Water and Sky...Here the added middle horizontal Silhotted plane adds the lot to the photograph...Even the cloud formation on the top compliments the overall photograph...

The composition of this photograph is a standout

Wonderfully done...
