This isn't meat as a slam at Panasonic at all, but I just wanted to relate what I found on Nikon's web site. I was looking for a firmware update for my daughter's Coolpix 3200. They did have one available, and I installed it with no problems. What really impressed me, however, was when I was investigating their firmware update for their D70 DSLR. The site has the update, and detailed instructions on how to install it. What was really impressive was that they also had a PDF file which amounted to an amendment to the owner's manual explaining the changes in operation after the firmware was updated. I thought that was really thoughtful of them. I can see why theyhave such a devoted following. Are you listening, Panasonic??

No theyre not. Why do people keep bringing this up? They will do it as and when they decide (if ever), not before.
