Hi everyone!

Ok... can someone pleasetry this?

1. Clear your SD card completely

2. Take a short movie on your FZ20 (make sure its the first file on the card)

3. Take a few photos

4. Try to transfer your photos onto your computer.

Can you do it?

I usually transfer my files via the cable supplied with the camera (I know, I know, a reader... I know... different discussion! When I try to see the photo folder on the computer, I get nothing and the computer wont even recognize the camera.

I am using Win XP Home on a 1.7ghz PC. Is there some sort of software error in the camera that doesn't allow a transfer of files if a movie is the first file on the card? (As Ive posted previously, I still can't transfer movie files over the supplied USB cable... I can transfer them if i use a card reader.)

I tried twice what you proposed. No problems - I had to switch the camera off-on the first time :-)

You can do it with a card reader.

But seriously get a card reader it makes life much simpler and file transfers much faster.

Its probably a file association thing. And most likely in the computer and not the camera.
