I have been a very satisfied owner of an DMC-FZ1 which I bought for about 150$.

Last week I had it mounted on a mini tripod when the camera tipped over, lens first onto the table . Luckily we have a towel laid out on the table , so the lenses did not break.

What has happened is that the inner barrel seems to have slipped a few 'threads' , so now the lens will not retract . I have switched off the camera , with the lens extended.

I have been trying to get thru to the Panasonic Cust Support center atleast 70 mins now , but keep getting bunced around departments.

Looks like I have little choice but to try and fix this myself or atleast figure out which part is damaged . A service manual would greatly help guide the disassembley .

Can someone advise on how I can get one ? Please give me a number to call for ordering.

many thanks
