They came out with the FZ20, then came the FZ5. Now they have the FZ30. I wonder if there is an FZ8 in the making?

I've been wondering the same.

But on the other hand, would they tell it to us before it is(?) officially released, I'm afraid not..

I also mentioned this a few days ago.

I think that a small (i.e. FZ5 like in size) FZ8 would lose a lot of its aperture on tele, about F4,5 or smaller... So its UltraZoom use would be very compromised (cf CP8800).

And it would be better (but obviously too bad for the market) to have a 6MP on a larger sensor, which would be les noisy that FZ10, 15, 3, 5, 20 and 30.

My hope is for a (8-) 9Mp FZ40 on a bigger CCD... I hope also with F16 (very few probable), veryusable ISO 400 and an ISO 800 which is similar to the actual ISO 400 in noise...
