I've been considering picking up the FZ-30 and in my research I found the user manual on Pany's site. I did a quick search and didn't see it posted here, but I apologize if it's already been posted.


Hey mtngal, how does your 30 compare in size to your f717?

The 2 cameras are similar in size and weight. The FZ30's body isdeeper at the grip than the F717, but that actually makes it easier to reach things. They are about the same length and width, perhaps the Panasonic is a hair shorter in the lens. The right grip makes it feel more substantial somehow.

I miss having the separate buttons on the side to control white balance and exposure modes that the Sony has. On the other hand, having more controls right by my right thumb is really nice.
