Just spotted this over the on the Leica forum - its a diagram of the current sensor sizes begin used and their relevant sizes.

Judging from sensor size, you wouldguess image quality would differ more...

Following the discussion about Olympus and Panasonic cooperation, a future dSLR from Panasonic could possibly use the 4/3 size. I think that might bea good compromise between image quality and the optical requirements from a large sensor. :idea:
