I recently purchased the FZ30 here in Japan, and I must say I am a happy customer. I love the 12X zoom, i don't think I could ever go back to a camera with less:-).

Anyway, I thought I'd share some shots I took recently. Winter is quite a nice time to take pictures in Japan, mainly because the weather is so clear...when it's not snowing, that is. I'm still learning about photography and this camera in particular, so bear with me.:G

Mt. Fuji, taken from my window seat on an airplane. Again, love the 12X zoom.

Northern Japan gets a lot of snow and is very cold...

Taken from a moving bus, so a little blur...

This one was taken with a tripod and fixed in photoshop quite a bit, but I thought it came out looking pretty good.

Welcome to the forum, fina23

I especially like your third photo in your series. It captures so much...

Hills, marine view, kids at play, northern Japan "hunkered down" for winter.

Regarding the icicle photo...whoa, would not like the heat bill there!

Icicles like that = lotsa heat loss thru roof!

The green sky on your fugi shots is other worldly
