I spotted this thread on the Leica forum about a Leica Elmarit R 70-180mm f2.8 lens and Oly E330 setup. A pretty interesting read as I think it kind of gives an indication of what to expect from the L1+Leica Elmarit D 14-55mm, although the 70-180 is a huge lens! :O

Here's the link:

He's made some pretty interesting comments regards the E330, esp with the tilt LCD and I really wish Pana do include a tilt/swivel + live histogram with the L1. For the hands on use on the site the E330 seems to be let down by not havign a live histogram to make sure the exposure is spot on. Also the focusing on the E330 seems to be a wee bit off and that was with a Oly Zukio 90-250 mm f2.8 zoom, so I hope the L1 doesn't have this problem too.

"The Olympus zoom on the E-330 was not very fast at finding proper auto-focus. Many of my shots were not in focus and the lens appeared to rack focus in the wrong direction sometimes for quite awhile before stopping and going the proper direction."
