these two were taken yesterday evening at the same time as the ones i posted in my "comparison" postlast night, by a friend of mine with an FZ1 with TCON-17. as you can see, even the 2MP FZ1 can take astonishingly clear, sharp photos that compare favorably - at this size (800x600) with images from a DSLR! these photos have had nothing done except resizing to 800x600 and sharpening to compensate for the compression. no NR, no cropping. the advantage of the DSLR is in larger sizes (i just ordered a 12x18 print of one of my shots from yesterday, and that would be quitea stretch even for the FZ20!), and in the flexibility, speed, and ability to get good results in bad conditions which it offers. but for those not needing those features, or who can't afford the $$ for a DSLR,these shots show that even the FZ1 can do absolute wonders under the right conditions. Leica lenses rock!!

Thanks for the post. Number of Megapixels isn't the whole story in digital photography. As these pics show, a good lens at 2MP beats a crummy lens at 4 or 5 MP.
