I used to wonder why Canon sold the i9900 in the USA and the i9950 in other markets. Then Charlie said

" Note that in the United States, the Canon printers CANNOT print directly onto CDs/DVDs as Epson evidently has the exclusive rights to do so"

How bizarre! I have a Canon i9950, a wide format A3+ 8 tank printer which does a great job, including printing directly onto CD/DVD. (We do some low volume CD production for a musician friend)

If you want to print large the i9950 has now been superceded but I bet there are still some around at good prices.
