I just read at dpreview that another free site for pictures is closing down:

Poor Francesco (narmer), he had to transfer many of his pictures and has to move again!

So have a look at his galleries again, like this one:

I had to decide between this site and zoto.com some time ago.

Let's hope that zoto lasts longer.

i've been using Photobucket for some time. they seem pretty stable, and are in fact offering more storage now, and larger file sizes, than they did a few months ago, so they may actually be expanding...

zoto.com is an excellent freebie considering you get 2gb and can easily upload and view straight-from-the-camera originals. They recentlywent withnew servers and were down for a couple of days but that seems to be over and done with. Of course, nothing lasts forever, particularly when it's free.

Another good freebie is http://www.flickr.com/ I think they limit you to only 20mb and a total of 200 images but they have a real nice slide show presentation. The largest viewable image is 1024 pixels so there is no reason to upload original sizes, which would just use the space up. Resize ahead of time to 1024.

Both zoto and flickr allow postingdirectly toforums such as this.
