Seeing the recent PC Lapetop problems on the news shows what can go wrong when BIG companies make bad batteries, they blow up like bombs! so these very cheap ones could do as much damage I guess. It even says in the manual not to use anything but the real thing, still the rreal thing costs a fortune

I got a battery for my FZ30 and a car charger from www.batterybarn.com. (They have free shipping and handling in US and Canada on orders over $25).

The battery works great, I'm not sure if it lasts quite as long as the original panasonic battery but it is definetely comparable and I would not hesitate to get more.

I think the battery is around $20ish or something like that.
